2010 Resolutions

Welcome to 2010. I have big hopes for this year and hopefully they are all realistic. :o)

I know a lot of people don't believe in setting resolutions because it is hard to keep track of them and follow through. I've heard a lot of people say that "resolutions are made to be broken" but then again, I have heard that said about promises and things like that. I firmly believe that it is all up to the individual, if they are up to changing and following through on the resolutions they make to themselves, then all the power to them.

I felt the need to set these resolutions in an effort to change some of the things that really frustrate me about my current lifestyle. I feel that I spend too much time on the computer and not enough time on other things that I find interesting. I'm not saying that I resolve to spend no time on the computer, after all, I got a brand new laptop and Sims 3 for Christmas! I'm just resolving to spend a quarter or half as much time on the computer.

My list of resolutions is as follows; I promise I won't feel awful if I don't accomplish all of them, 50% would be good enough for me.

1. Exercise. Spend 30 minutes every night on the Wii Fit Plus. Take walks around the neighborhood.

2. Get social. Spend time with friends, invite them over for movie nights and game nights.

3. Call family. Call Grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles

4. Learn a new hobby. Maybe a crafting hobby, maybe a sport. Nothing that involves collecting more junk.

5. Stay within budget on at least one item - groceries, gas or fun money.

6. Visit other states. Take trips to see Leslie in Reno, Josh in Georgia or Ashley in Tennessee.

7. Take a singing class.

8. Take a voice over class.

9. Practice guitar and take consistent lessons with Alfie. Practice 5 out of 7 days a week.

10. Go green. Arrange online bill pay, research and use environmentally friendly cleaners, recycle or donate old magazines, look into rechargeable batteries, etc.

11. Volunteer. At least 1 day a month, for a cause I really believe in.

12. Spend between 0 - 500 on dining out for the whole year.

13. Finish all saved RPG games on PS2 memory card.

I am sharing these with you out on the internets in hopes to inspire you to set some goals or resolutions for yourself. Also I hope that publishing this list will help me keep myself accountable.

I hope to make 2010 the year of getting things done!

Wish me luck!
